![]() ![]() Our Nürburgring and Macau are prime examples. Lately the mutual respect that used to exist seems to have vanished and now straight conversions between competing titles are done in a matter of minutes after we release a new game. GTR Evolution underlines this statement by being relatively easy to add new and unique content for.īut… SimBin can no longer afford pouring funds into creating unique quality content for competing titles. We have every intention of supporting quality mods, customs skins and all the other changes that make our games come alive with the help of dedicated modding communities across the globe. "In the past SimBin have applauded serious modding groups and have even employed the help of some as well as recruit new employees from the groups of talented individuals. Simbin released a statement some months ago explaining this. What they don't agree to is say someone porting GTR2 over the rFactor or other "competing" titles. There are Lemans and F1 mods being built for Evo as well. The cars from GTR2 has been ported over to GTR Evo. There are more and more mods, car packs etc being released for GTR Evo. I've not seen an official statement from Simbin reguarding this, anywhere. The following car models are included, spread out in three classes:įeatures of the mod include working Motec in all cars, working windscreen wipers, wet tires and custom skin support. The mod brings all cars of Simbin’s legendary GT Legends title to their newest simulation. ![]() TVR Cerbera Cup 0.Mojo66 has released a new, complete, version of his GT Legends mod for GTR Evolution. The TVR Cerbera Cup mod has unaccountably disappeared from NoGrip, but it looks like you can still get it here: I get a reasonable temperature distribution with 175 kPa in the fronts and 185 kPa in the rears. Second, the default setup’s tire pressures run around 130 kPa, which is way too low in my experience. (Of course, you should be unwinding the steering anyways, but with a car that’s prone to understeer by default it can be a bit hard to manage.) This oversteer can be corrected by lifting off the throttle a bit, and usually doesn’t get past a bit of fishtailing. First, the Cerberas are prone to corner-exit oversteer if you “pinch” the car toward the inside of the track rather than unwinding the steering. I’ve only found two gotchas with this mod: one is an issue of driving technique, and the other is easily correctable in the car setup. The AI is competent and aggressive but not overwhelming, and it’s fun to dice with - particularly with a full field of cars. And racing this mod is a hell of a lot of fun - it comes with 38 imaginative and (mostly) well-designed liveries the car’s wide torque band and slightly understeery behaviour make it quite easy to pick up and play and the generous damage model makes rough, bumper-to-bumper racing easier to get away with if that’s what you have in mind. The default setup for the Cerbera Cup car is a bit softly sprung and underdamped, but that makes it a friendly, forgiving car to jump in and start racing. This mod’s biggest draw is the fact that the cars are both fast and friendly: they’re not hair-trigger oversteer beasts like many of GTR Evo‘s GT1 cars (or, for that matter, its Aston Martin DBRS9), nor do they demand the same precision as, say, the GT3 Gillet Vertigo Streiff - but at the same time they’re notably quicker than the WTCC cars. scca1981 ported the Cerbera Cup to GTR Evo, where it lives on. The TVR Cerbera Cup was originally a mod for GTR2 - a one-make series featuring cars on the slower end of GTR2‘s scale of competition but equipped with plenty of torque and the sort of stable, forgiving handling that begs you to throw them into every corner. ![]()
